On June 21, 2005, Loews Cineplex announced that it will merge with AMC Theatres, uniting two of the finest and most successful motion picture exhibition companies in the world. Until the closing of the transaction, which we anticipate to be within 6 to 9 months, we will continue to operate as separate companies. After the closing, Loews Cineplex and AMC, with more than 180 years of exhibition history, will set the future path for movie going while simultaneously carrying on the legacy of innovation, excellence and superior customer service.
